Clonezilla is a partition and disk imaging/cloning program similar to True Image®. It saves and restores only used blocks in hard drive. Two types of Clonezilla are available, Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE (Server Edition).

Rescatux is a GNU/Linux repair cd (and eventually also Windows) but it is not like other rescue disks. Rescatux comes with Rescapp. Rescapp is a nice wizard that will guide you through your rescue and repair tasks. When the wizard is not able to solve your problem you can also enjoy of Rescatux unique support features: * Chat: Open the chat for asking help directly in Rescatux channel. * Share log: After running an option you can share its log (the action registry that it has done) so that in the chat they can help you better. RichARCH is designed to be a Simple Quick Pure path to Arch Linux with kickstart like automation features. rpmrebuild is a tool to build an RPM file from a package that has already been installed. It can be used to easily build modified packages, and works on any Linux distribution that uses RPM.

Slackpkg is a good package manager for slackware that help the user to keep updated its installation. The Slackpkg+ project is a simple plugin that allow the user to add third-party repositories to slackpkg so to use a single tool for keep update the slackware installation and to install non-official packages. Like slackpkg, slackpkg+ leave unchanged the slackware philosophy becouse the user take full control of installation process. Slackpkg+ also allow to install and keep updated the alienbob's compat32 libraries so to have a multilib system without download and install it manually. Slackpkg+ is NOT a new tool with new commands. The user can continue to use the standard slackpkg command line: # slackpkg update gpg # slackpkg update # slackpkg install openjdk # slackpkg upgrade-all etc..

Lubi installs Ubuntu on Linux without a CD or partitioning. LVPM upgrades Wubi to dedicated partition installs. UNetbootin (liveUSB creator for Ubuntu, Fedora, PCLinuxOS, Gentoo, and other distros) has moved to http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

FOG is a free open-source cloning/imaging solution/rescue suite. FOG can be used to image Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Window 8 PCs using PXE, PartClone, and a Web GUI to tie it together. Includes featues like memory and disk test, disk wipe, av scan & task scheduling.

mk-configure is a lightweight and easy for use build system, written in bmake (portable version of NetBSD make) and POSIX tools (shell, awk etc.).

m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu and LinuxMint. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps.
